What do cigarettes contain?
Around 4000 different chemical compounds, cigarettes burn at 700
degrees Celsius
(1292 degrees Fahrenheit ) at the tip (when inhaled) which breaks
down the tobacco to produce toxic substances.
The most damaging products in cigarettes are:
Tar - substance that causes cancer

Lots of Coughs and Colds: The fumes that get into the
lungs when inhaled cause structural damage and allow bacteria to
enter, this causes coughs. Some chemicals can get into the blood
stream, this damages the immune system which means viruses such as a
cold is easier to catch.
Cardiovascular disease: Cholesterol constricts blood
flow to the heart and the brain, can cause heart attacks, strokes
and paralysis.
Cancer: Tar causes mutations of the cells, they then
don't stop growing and become cancerous.
The other problem with smoking is the psychological damage it
causes, normally taken for granted but still causes immense harm.
Smoking is ADDICTIVE. Any addiction psychologically harms people
because it takes away self control, this can lead to problems such
